MOIL Limited has received a short recovery letter from the Executive Engineer, Wainganga Division Balaghat, regarding a short recovery of water taxes for the period from April 2008 to September 2025. The demand letter, received on August 29, 2026, totals Rs 16,08,16,712, encompassing 24% interest and 1% service charges based on a Comptroller and Auditor General (CAG) audit, and does not currently have any immediate operational impact. MOIL Limited is currently reviewing the demand and intends to pursue appropriate legal action, including a potential appeal.
